This year, I want to be able to set aside time for myself and make things rejuvenated . Now at first, that might sound like an odd resolution but I had the opportunity to take a calligraphy class & to be more creative in 2016.
Let me start by saying that taking a calligraphy class has been on my to-do list, my wish list, my bucket list, whatever list it was – learning calligraphy was on it. I’m so happy I was able to take a step forward towards a Calligraphy class this year. Why exactly calligraphy ? Well foremost of all, yes – some chow for the right sided head a bit vivid, knack which is intuitive and make me more passionate in the interim leaves everything stress free and enjoyable.
The best part about learning some new art or in my case the art of calligraphy is…. it gives you that exploring instinct for instance searching for all of the necessary supplies. How great is that?? going to your local craft store in search of items you have no idea what you’re looking for. you get all the details about what’s what and what everything is used for… pens, nibs, ink, and even paper! You can’t get more detailed than that! I always thought calligraphy was going to be intimidating or may be nerve wrecking at times because of how hard it looks and how effortless professional calligraphers make it seem.
This was not the case at all. More likely it was Oh My God I Suck At This
the expression of jeopardy…
but thanks heaven I’m doing impressive trend i always wanted to do …
In this hyper era of techno gadgets penmanship and hand writing art becoming very stumpy.
-Fennel Hudson’s citation is so much inspiring for me at times as he says ..
“I take pride in using fountain pens. They represent craftsmanship and a love of writing. Biros, on the other hand, represent the throwaway culture of modern society, which exists on microwave ready-meals and instant coffee.”
Hope you find your creative-imaginative side too and endeavor this year.. !!
Here’s a little sneak peek of my practice..
